While he worked she studied. Though, she does note how dark the sky starts to get out of the corner of her eye. Not that she really thinks much on it. Not until that thunder booms and startles the hell out of her, causing her to practically jump out of her skin.
Normally? She didn't mind thunderstorms, but this was bad. Especially when the lights suddenly go out plunging them into darkness. Yanli places her hand over her heart feeling it practically beat out of her chest.
"I'm alright. A bit startled, but alright. Are you alright?"
"I am alright. I need to check and see what's going on. It looks like all the street lamps and the light from the other shops are out as well." he said peering out the window. On closer inspection it seemed as if a large...something was blocking the exit. It must have been the second crash they had heard.
"That's not good..." he said worry creeping into his voice, He tried the door but the object was blocking it. He couldn't seem to get it open.
"Oh no. Alright..."
What to do. What to do.
"I'm sorry Maiden Jiang it seems as we are trapped for a bit. I need to notify the manager and see if We can get some emergency assistance. Can you sit tight? I can get some candles from the back as well."
The darkness didn't really bother her much, not like it did her brothers. Even if the darker it got with the storm the scarier it got. Not that she'd allow herself that fear. It was the only problem with being a big sister. Her fears never really got dealt with. She focused too much on her brothers.
Brothers that she texts to find out where they are and if they're alright.

"I'm sure that we'll be fine. At least we're trapped somewhere that we don't have to worry about nourishment." Even places such as this had bottled drinks and food. So, even if they were trapped for hours at a time, they wouldn't go hungry or anything of the sort.
"Are you sure you're alright? Is there anyone you need to get a hold of?"
"I am fine, thank you. I need to contact a few people. Give me a moment Ms.Jiang," he replied before heading to the back.
He made a quick call to the shop owner to inform him of the situation. The man was out of town and the roads were flooded in the storm. He told him to sit tight and call emergency if it gets worse. He made a soft noise in his throat.
His second call was to Xue Yang. He may be mad at him but wanted to make sure that brat was alright. He had thankfully holed up at his crush's place before the storm got bad. Of course, he got made fun of for still being at work with a cheerful "Sucks to be you." on the other line. He was going to eat his candy in retaliation later. Brat. Whose fault was it that he was still here?
He comes back out with a few candles and a lighter, setting them on the table by her.
"Is this better? Did you want some tea while the water is still hot? I am going to shut down the bar. I think something is blocking the door and we may be stuck here for a bit."
